Granuloma: How to treat it?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dental granuloma is<\/span> a bacterial infection<\/b> that affects the root of the tooth and adjacent tissues.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not always this condition is accompanied by pain and discomfort, in many cases, it can be identified only thanks to periodic<\/span> radiographic controls<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Intervention usually consists of<\/span> devitalization<\/b>, i.e. removal of the dental pulp, removal of bacteria, and sealing of the tooth with biocompatible material.<\/span><\/p>\n

If the affected tooth has already been devitalized, root canal retreatment is performed.<\/span><\/p>\n

When it\u2019s not possible to treat the granuloma with any of these procedures, we will have to resort to the surgical removal of the same, and this procedure is called<\/span> apicectomy<\/b>.<\/span> <\/p>\n

In this surgical technique, in addition to the granuloma, the final part of the root of the tooth itself will be removed, which is the cause of the problem. <\/span><\/p>\n
